The song's music video was shot in Los Angeles during the weekend of January 15, 2011. It shows Rihanna punishing the members of the media who have hurt her, including gossip blogger Perez Hilton. The music video is directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also directs music videos of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance," Beyoncé's "Diva", Rihanna's "Hard" and "Rude Boy".
